Mirzapur crosses Rs 132 crore worldwide in three days

Mirzapur: The Movie has taken roughly Rs 132 crore worldwide after three days, Hindustan Times reported on Sunday's close. India net for the weekend was about Rs 93.75 crore, with India gross near Rs 112.35 crore and overseas around Rs 20 crore, per Sacnilk's day-three tally.
Day one made about Rs 25.75 crore net. Saturday rose to about Rs 32 crore. Sunday hit about Rs 36 crore, with Hindi occupancy near two-thirds and strong night shows. Trade desks called it one of the best opening weekends for a Hindi film without a conventional megastar this year.
The gangster film, directed by Gurmmeet Singh and led by Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal, opened on 4 September. By Sunday it had overtaken Hanuman Ansh's then-gross of about Rs 125 crore and pushed past other 2026 titles such as Raja Shivaji on the worldwide chart HT tracked.
A Prime Video crime saga clearing a big theatrical weekend without a film-first superstar is the story. UP and Bihar mass centres carried day one, then the rest of the country joined. That is a different path from the usual star-and-song open.
It also resets the autumn box-office mood. Hanuman Ansh had been the Hindi holdover. Mirzapur taking the daily lead in week one puts pressure on whatever opens next.
Monday and Tuesday holds will show whether the weekend was a spike or a base. Day-four India net is the next clean number to watch.
