India takes silver and bronze in Asian Games air rifle

India put two shooters on the men's 10m air rifle podium at the Asian Games 2026. Himanshu Dhillon won silver with 252.4. Rudrankksh Patil took bronze with 230.9 after leading much of the final, Sportstar reported.

China's Olympic champion Sheng Lihao kept the gold with 254.2 and broke his own Asian record in the process.

Earlier the same day, Dhillon and Patil, with teammate Parth Mane, had already won silver in the men's 10m air rifle team event. Sportstar said India now has five shooting medals at these Games, after Sunday's two silvers in the women's 10m air rifle team and in the women's individual event, where Elavenil Valarivan medalled.

A double individual podium on the same day as a team silver is the kind of depth Indian shooting has been building toward for years. Patil has been one of the faces of that push. Dhillon's silver puts another name on the Asian Games board beside him.
